Backing to Synology NAS

Hello, I am setting up FFS to backup to a Synology NAS via FTP, as I try to create the path, I get this message. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Cannot determine final path for "ftp://192.168.0.7/~".
CURLE_RECV_ERROR: response reading failed [curl_easy_perform]

Did you figure this out? Can you try the hostname/UNC path instead of IP? Can you navigate there from file explorer?

Not really, is there a step by step explanation somewhere to the way to configure via the hostname/UNC path? My knowledge is limited, also, I am working on a mac. Thanks.
