Hi everybody,

yesterday I got an information that there is an updated version which I downloaded and extracted as usual. But this time I got no FFS folder which contains all necessary files, but a "FreeFileSync_11.6_[Donation_Edition]_Install.run" and a "FreeFileSync_11.6_[Donation_Edition]_Install.key" file.

My question is what to do with these files? I don't get FFS up and running with them.

Thank you in advance for any help!

Double-click on the ".run" file. Or open it from a terminal.

A doubleclick causes nothing. Terminal..., I'm not really into it. Could you help me with the right command? I have both files on my desktop.

Just drag and drop the .run file on the terminal window and start it.

Which Linux distribution and terminal are you using? (in the terminal window go to menu -> help: about)
FFS doesn't seem to detect your terminal correctly, or double-click would have worked.

FFS does check for "/usr/bin/xfce4-terminal", but maybe it's in a different location? What do you get for "whereis xfce4-terminal"?

xfce4-terminal: /usr/bin/xfce4-terminal /usr/bin/xfce4-terminal.wrapper /usr/share/man/man1/xfce4-terminal.1.gz

Fixed! FFS was passing "-e" instead of "-x" to xfce4-terminal.

Great, thanks and keep on going! I never had a sync-app that worked as convincing as yours!!!
