I'm moving files from Windows Server 2003 to Windows Server 2012. All shortcuts get synced wrong. It shows like a broken file on target folder. Which could be the problem?

I'm moving files from Windows Server 2003 to Windows Server 2012. All shortcuts get synced wrong. It shows like a broken file on target folder. Which could be the problem?

Is the shortcut target actually where it should be? What if you refresh the explorer window to refresh icons? I also sync shortcuts and it has no issues. What if you right-click the target shortcuts and go to properties, and change icon to see where it is pointing and if it is correct
