FFS Donation Edition doesn't run

Hello.
I've donated for and downloaded the latest Donation Edition but can't get it to work.
I'm running Linux Mint 20 on an oldish MacBook Pro, and nothing happens when I double click the .run file.
What am I not doing, or doing wrong?

How did you extract the .run file? What are it's executive permissions? What happens when you try to start it from a terminal?

Got it now - changed the permissions to read and write and that fixed it - it already was executable.

Why where the read permissions missing? In the zip file they should be 0755. Problem with the unpacker?

I changed the permissions to read and write and that seems to have fixed it.
Anyway all seems to be working now - thanks for your help.
