Freefilesync used to sync my files in a flash. Even large folders used to sync
very quickly (after the first sync). But over the last 2 weeks I have noticed
that FFS has become very slow. The folder which used to get synced in about
5-10 minutes now takes 1-2 hours! I have noticed that the sync speed has also
reduced markedly. Previously it used to be around 1.96MB/s, but now it is
around 200-300KB/s at the best! Even updating it to the latest 4.5v did not
help.
The only change I remember doing of late is connecting my desktop through WLAN
to my router. Previously I had used a LAN cable to do the same. Do you think
that this has something to do with my problem?
Syncing has become slow lately...:-(

Another update. Now, FFS is not even completing my syncs. I frequently get
error codes (Saying that the said location is no longer there) and I have to
abort the entire operation. Driving me crazy. Such a wonderful piece of
software... Have I messed up something! :-(

Forgot to mention.... I used to sync files between my desktop and laptop over
my home network. Now I think that all my good times with FFS have come to an
end :-(

From the symptoms you describe this seems to be a WLAN rather than a FFS
problem. You can try to reset your WLAN and all attached devices, not only
reset, but physically pull the power plug. This brute-force method works
suprisingly often.
