I get this error when sync'ing on a Windows 10 client. The source files and dirs are on a USB drive and are sometimes created or edited on a Linux Mint client. The file system is NTFS. Some of the entries triggering this error aren't directories, but extension less files. Mbox files of Thunderbird. As long as they are only created and edited on Windows everything is fine for FreeFileSync / Windows, but once they are touched by a Linux editor FreeFileSync complains about them.
It says openDir. But I never had a problem before to sync this with an open Thunderbird, the Shadow copy was used, I guess.
Error code 267: Invalid directory name. (openDir)

What about other tools, e.g. Windows Explorer. Do you get similar errors there, too, or is it only with FreeFileSync?
Are this files also misinterpreted as directories by Explorer?
