ffs runs, and try to sync all the files that should be sync, and writes all in the log.
So you have x-thousands log-entries with these errors.
And ffs finishes when all the necessary files are checked.
Having a big number of files then it takes a lot of time.

You can check how much space is needed before syncing? Don't run out of space

Ok, what about if it runs as a batch file ?

Then the storage devices should be monitored better. If there is that much data being created between syncs, a more robust backup storage setup is usually better in the long run. Everything depends on how much data you have and what size storage you are working with though.
