Weird behavior on startup

When I start FFS I get this window appearing -

Then, when I close the window, FFS shows this -

I don't want to risk running the sync with this problem.

It doesn't open the "Check for program updates" window but html is still appearing on the menubar.

What if you manually check for updates? "menu->help->check for updates now"

Hmm, interesting. I turned-off my VPN connection and the problem goes away.
I reconnected my VPN and FFS is still working properly.

I believe this javascript challenge is coming from your VPN, and not FFS's CDN (Cloudflare).

Bear in mind not everyone's a techie. How you deduce a javascript issue isn't a intuitive matter. But if you can't be bothered explaining - so be it.

No, the picture you posted originally is showing javascript code! Javascript is a programming language, it has certain syntax/layouts that can be picked up by people who have used it. Zenju is the developer that wrote that code
