Sync New Files Only - Data Collection

Hi, I'm trying to come up with a solution for my laboratory data collection computers to copy local data to a network folder. I want to retain the local copy of the file as a backup and only copy the file to the network once. Users of the laboratory equipment will take files out of this network folder and I do not want them to sync again. Is this something that can be done with FFS? I've tried several other options and they all sync the file again. If FFS can't do this, do you have any recommendations for solutions that can be run on a schedule or automatically like FFS?

The closest solution I've found that works is SyncToy, but it seems to be getting phased out.

You could set a time-span that only syncs for the last x # of days. Then run a sync every x days
