Error 87 after update to new version

I get an error 87 after updating to the latest version of freefilesync. So I
uninstalled and reverted back to an earlier version. I picked version 3.21 and
it worked again. What would cause me to get this error with the new version?

oh and also it was about not being able to traverse the directory. I use
freefilesync over a remote desktop. As I said the earlier version still works
so the problem is not my computer or any permissions as I have admin rights on
XP Pro.

I read all post in that link it does not appear there has been a fix for this.
Is that true?
