.xls Saved To Google Drive As Word

Hello,

I am using FFS to save autogenerated xls files to google drive. For some reason when it syncs the files on the google drive, the files change from exel files to word. When I upload the file myself to google drive it saves as an excel file. Also when I open the autogenerated file and click save, FFS will then upload it to google drive correctly (as an Excel spreadsheet).

If anyone has guidance on this issue it would be greatly appreciated :) I need to convert the xls file to Google sheets in the end to work with the data further so if there is anyway to convert Excel to google sheets in FreeFileSync that works too.

FFS does not change file names, nor does it change file extensions.
(With the exception of when using some flavours of Versioning) FFS always copies files retaining their file-name and extension.
