Hi.

I Sync my local OnDrive folder to another folder.
I use OnDrive with 'save disk space option'.
My system downloads the files from ondrive only when I use it.

On Mac all run fine. FreeFileSync downloads the files bevor copy.

On Windows i recive always an 'ERROR_ACCESS_DENIED' message.

Exists a solution?

Thanks, Peter

Uncheck 'save disk space' option in OneDrive. OneDrive doesn't automatically remove them from you device with that feature enabled anyway

Hi.

I can`t uncheck 'save disk space' option.

The problem exists only on Windows.

Thanks,

Disable "Files On-Demand"

That's the only solution. It doesn't save you space if you are having to download them to sync anyway

Microsoft claims "Files On-Demand works with all the apps you use today". Apparently FFS isn't applying the special magic pixie dust, this OneDrive feature needs. Or the feature is just broken. I'm wondering if other apps have the same problem, or if there is something FFS could do differently.

When I was recently researching that feature, it never says that it removes the local copy of a file after you are done using them. It says to mark it as online-only from the right-click menu. So I can't say whether the way FFS does it needs to change or if it doesn't work at all, but it seems irrelevant if you end up downloading the data locally anyhow.

Hi.

Goodsync doesn't have the problem

I can connect my drive as mapped network drive, or directly as OneDrive account.

CopyFileEx is Microsoft's own copy routine. But maybe OneDrive doesn't like the .ffs_tmp file extension. You could test if this is the case by temporarily(!) disabling fail-safe file copy in menu->tools->options

Hi Zenju.

No, the problem persists.
