so i run a plex server recording live tv and use mcebuddy to cut the commercials out. this leaves me with a file i want to sync to the main server. mcebuddy isnt perfect but it works correctly most of the time, usually with overcutting shows so you end up with missing bits once in awhile so the file sizes are smaller than the complete show.
what i want to do is have the file sync over if it doesnt exist. compare file sizes if it does and copy over the new file only if it is larger than the preexisting one. this includes a file size filter that will hopefully cut down on dud files that dont record properly.
right now even when setting the comparison to file size it doesnt change the core action of the files being only moved one way or another if their different in ~any way~ rather than actually compared and then moved based on that comparison. so im still stuck manually comparing the files.
looking through the forums this has been brought up a couple times in the past and at least in those instances they could rely on the "newer" file always being better than the old one. due to the automation i want to impliment file size is the easiest way to handle it.
compare file size when syncing.

FFS does not have a way to sync based on file sizes, only compare
