I'm trying to compare files between drives and folders. I know that some of the files are identical in size, filename etc, but when I run compare, it shows the file contents of the two folders in left and right panels but on different rows as if they are different and require synchronising although the files are identical so the corresponding matching files should be on the same row and have “=”. Currently each side will mirror the other on both way sync but then I will have duplicate files on both sides...
I’ve played about with filter and looked at other comments on the forum but cannot see answer to my query.
I’ve done a test and can compare/sync ok from a folder and sub folders to a single base folder but not from subfolders to subfolders. I've included a screen shot of the files/folders and my current filter settings. To clarify my drives are a SD card J:/ to cloud storage P:/
Can anyone help?
Identical files not matching up in compare

The filenames are not identical: on the left side the year is four digit while on the right is two digit and there is an underscore after 20.
