Changing email notification address

I am successfully receiving email notifications. After changing the email notification address, however, I continue to receive notifications at the original email address. The new email address appears to be ignored. Appreciate any guidance that you may have.

OK, I learned something. If your goal is to replace the original notification email address with a new address you must first highlight the old address and delete it. If you don't, the new "replacement" email address that you're typing is actually being added to what is now a list of email addresses - the old address followed by the new address. The email notification goes to whatever email address is at the top of the list as it's sorted alphabetically by default. Be careful!

That's not how it works. The list is a history of last-used items. The entry in the text field is the one being used. Do you have steps that can reproduce the behavior you're describing?
