TIA for the help!

I save and organize all the photos from my android phone to my PC. I'm trying to easily see which photos I've already transferred from my phone to pc whenever I periodically pull them off my phone.

On the left column I selected every directory on the phone which has photos (DCIM/Camera, Facebook, Instagram, etc-- and each has their own folder on the phone's storage). On the right sight I selected the main folder on my PC which contains many subfolders of the photos which are organized.

When I do a comparison in the "update" sync mode, (all default filters which include the standard * to include subfolders) the results show thousands of photos that it wants to add from the phone to the right side (PC), yet many of them are verified are already there. Any idea what I am doing wrong?

TLDR- It wants to copy files from my phone that are already on the PC. It appears to not see them on the PC.

Thank you!

You write you select as the left-side base location the different source folders on your phone that may contain photos, and as your right-side base location the main folder on my PC which contains many subfolders of the photos which are organized.
So, FFS will sync the content of your left-side base locations to become the content of your right-side base location.
Instead, you should select as your right-side locations the individual counterparts of your left-side base locations, and not the parent of those right-side locations.

Bingo, basically you are syncing Phone\Pictures\DCIM and Phone\Pictures\Facebook to PC\Pictures so they aren't in sync. I, personally, would suggest syncing the whole phone's directory and exclude the folders you don't want, then they retain exact structure as the original incase you need to restore or go through it.
