Hello all,
I am experiencing a rather interesting problem.
I have FFS pointed at a folder that contains 4,228 files according to Windows Explorer, FFS however finds just 4,049. The folder mainly contains pictures, and it appears that all files from 2020 onwards are missing.
The last file FFS finds is "IMG_20191229_160701.jpg" and the first file I can only find in Explorer is "IMG_20200102_213359.jpg". Attributes are identical.
Filter exceptions only contain system folders (
\System Volume Information\
\$Recycle.Bin\
\RECYCLE?\
*\thumbs.db
)
Is there some setting that I might have accidentally turned on, or am I missing the elephant in the room?
If I can provide more details that might help, please let me know.
Thank you!
FFS doesn't find all files

Screenshot? What if you remove those filters temporarily? Then you can see if that is the discrepancy. You also can't just go by what the 'last file' is unfortunately, check the overview in the bottom=left of the FFS window after a comparison. One more thing, there are filters at the bottom of the window that will show you different pairs based on what action is to be performed, toggle those

Thank you for your reply, it indeed were the buttons at the bottom. I've been using FFS for years and never used them. So, it was the elephant. Have a good evening and thank you again!
