Need a way to selectively disable line items

I've run into a case, while using DropBox, where I need to be able to selectively disable some of the Path line items in a FileSync list. Maybe I'm not using DropBox the intended way, so maybe I'm the only one with this dilemma, but what I'm running into is this:
I'm testing out DropBox as a backup system form my desktop PC. I prefer DropBox because it comes closest to behaving like a local file system, while actually being a Cloud system. And, because I can use FreeFileSync to manage the backup process, in the same way I use it to send files to my local NAS [nightly back-ups].

Here's the dilemma: I don't have enough local disk space to initialize the process. To send a file to the DropBox cloud, it's first necessary to copy the file to the DropBox mapping, on my local file system, and that means the file "parks" on my local drive until it gets uploaded to the cloud. Because the upload bandwidth is very limited on my Internet service, this process is not fast enough for it to not get "backed up". In other words, if I try to send all of the 1 terabyte, or so, worth of data to DropBox, all at once, using FreeFileSync, the local disk will fill up, and the process will fail.

Thus, I need to do it incrementally. I could just create a number of FreeFileSync batches, to do the job, but that would be hugely tedious. Far easier would be to create the full FreeFileSync list, and be able to selectively enable segments, until all the files are uploaded. Once all the files are uploaded, I can run the complete list without issue, because they would be mere deltas, and not the whole lot.

BTW: I know I can run a Sync, and then pause it before disk space is used up, but, I would also like to prioritize the upload, so certain, more critical, folders are uploaded first. That way, I get my more critical cases online sooner.

Won't the first 'batch' of data get removed from Dropbox once you make room to do the next batch?

Perhaps, but what I'm looking for is a way to prioritize those 'batch's, so the more important ones are backed up sooner. A way to do this without having to remove items from the FileSync list [only to have to add them back, once the higher priority items are synced].

This only needs to done once, during the first synchronization, when EVERYTHING needs to be copied over. After that initial glut of data is transferred, then only deltas are transferred. But, I want to be able to create the whole list, in the beginning, then orchestrate the order in which the files are transferred--during the maiden synchronization.

OneDrive is a Microsoft product, and I detest Microsoft -- have for decades!

Okay...
You can highlight a selection and sync it on its own.
