How to show dragged folders collapsed (and when expanded as tree view)?

Assume I drag folders (with subfolders) into the entry fields at the top and click on "Compare" button.

Then the content of all folders is automatically shown expanded.

How do I start with collapsed view? Read: the content of subfolders should initially not be shown.
Only if I click on a certain folder then its content should be expanded and shown.

Furthermore: When I click on a subfolder the content is shown rather unusual.
Files e.g. do not start indented by 2 spaces but by a vertical line far right.

How do I tell FFS to use an usual tree view like pane?

The main window doesn't support this, but in the bottom left, there is an overview with them collapsed.
