Versioning

My settings are shown on the screenshot. Do I get File Versioning feature correctly in terms of my settings?

1. All my edits for files for 180 previous days will be stored in the "Versioning" folder.
2. During 7 days after last successful backup, files will be do synced, but "Versioning" folder won't be replenished by new files.
2.1. If I correct here, what will happen if I will sync every 5 days? Versioning feature will be disabled in that case?
3. What the "maximum" check box stands for? Isn't it just duplicating the "Last x days" check box?

2. FFS will keep at least 7 versions, even if they are older than 180 days
2.1. Irrelevant due to 2
3. Same as 2, but FFS will only keep up to the max number of versions, even if they are less than 180 days old.
