Having read the forum I agree with people's irritation. I run my machine offline and donated (for the second time) to thank you for good software, not for the marginal benefits. Now hopelessly tangled in activation issues. Not a great incentive to donate again! Starting to look for alternative software.

Activation of the donation version requires (at least temporary) Internet access.
But, if you just appreciate the FFS software, and do not need the benefits of the donation version, you can simply install the standard, non-donation version of FFS. Meanwhile, your donation will still be considered a token of your appreciation.

This puzzles me.
You appreciate the FFS software, and do not need the benefits of the donation version.
So, simply use the standard version and live long long and happy.
Why then look for alternative software?
