Hello --
I have selected the option to "Update" between a LAN Drive and a USB Hard Drive. The Comparison Option is set to Time and Size.
The first time I did the sync it took about 6 hours - Now everytime I execute this job it takes double the time - i.e. 12 hours. Please note, there have been very little (maybe 1-2 file changes on the source location).
I would think the process would decrease - especially since there are less files to update.
Why is this happening? More importantly, how can I speed up this process?
Thank you
Michael

About how many files are we talking?
LAN is what 1 GB, & the USB drive?
(I have a WD USB HDD drive, but only a USB 2.0 connection, & it is dog slow.
Early on when I was testing, & I plugged it into a USB 3.0 on someone else's computer, it still seemed mighty slow.)
Did you by chance enable (set) VerifyCopiedFiles?
The Compare part will need to scan through all the files, both devices, looking for date/time differences, i.e. files needing backup (Update).

Mr. TheRube --
The source is a WD LAN Drive about 240 GB - I know it will take time to complete the process. But my query stems from the fact that the initial sync took about 6 hours, whereas, now this same process, without may updates on the source, takes double that time. I haven't change any sync parameters since the initial sync
Thanks for your assistance
