Hi, it's been a couple of days since from FreeFileSync version 11.16 on Mac OS Monterey 12.1 (since yesterday 12.2), I get the following error message: "Unable to move xyz file to trash. CocoaError 256: Unable to open xyz file [NSFileManager: : trashltemAtURL] ". Can you help me ? Many thanks.

Hi, I just upgraded my MacBook Pro to Monterey and I am having this problem, CocoaError 256: Unable to move file to Bin. The installed version of FreeFileSync on that MacBook is 11.17 .. Help please. Many thanks

NSCocoaErrorDomain::256 = NSFileReadUnknownError
Not that this helps much...

What might help though is the following beta version which (tries to) add some error details if NSFileReadUnknownError is encountered: https://www.mediafire.com/file/7j6q46sjale2c7r/FreeFileSync_11.18_beta_macOS.zip

Hi Zenju,

Installed the Beta. The error message:
Unable to move "/Users/...... /Library/CloudStorage/One-Drive-Personal/Documents/ ..file.. " to recycle bin. CocoaError 256: The file " ..file.. " couldn't be opened. [NSFileManager::trashItemAtURL]
Hope this sheds some light to the problem. Thanks
