I would like to copy non-synched onedrive files from a local folder.
From what I understand, these files only contains information of their existence and some link information to the cloud-service but no contens.
With the Windows Explorer copy function, these file(s) will be downloaded from the cloud service first and then sent to their maybe local destination, despite the fact that this takes very long even on a 100Mbit DSL line.
With FreeFileSync it is different. A message will come up telling that the (cloud-)service is not up and running and therefore the file cannot be copied. So there is no chance to copy the (empty)files.
Any clues?

No, you can't just copy the "shortcuts". You have to have the OneDrive files fully local or some people have been successful in mounting OneDrive as a "local" location to sync with. Both options will result in the destination having the fully downloaded files.
