After the synchronization has occurred, whenever target files do not match with source files (typically because I moved the source files to another directory or deleted them), FreeFileSync does not delete the unmatched target file (I think because it does not have the security authority). I'm running Windows 10 Pro.
I could not find how to do that in the documentation so how do I give it that?
Thanks for this fabulous utility!

If it was an access problem, there would be an error usually. Are you sure it isn't filtered out or you are using "update" sync method?

Yes, there was an access error reported by FFS which I don't have handy but can reproduce, if necessary. I was able to go to the target directory and manually delete the target file(s) through Windows but would prefer for FFS to do so without my intervention.

Yes, the exact error would be helpful. If you can do it manually, FFS should be able to do it when launched by the same user.

This is the error issued bt FFS:
4:19:16 PM Error Cannot move file
"H:\drb_apps\My Music\yaakov_bookletarpeggios.pdf" to
"H:\drb_apps\RecycleBin~9f03.ffs_tmp\My Music\yaakov_bookletarpeggios.pdf".

What is the destination you are syncing to? a NAS?
That second path makes no sense... Are you utilizing versioning?

I was syncing my main HDD to an external HDD and am not using versioning.
Is there a way I can cut and paste a screenshot of my source/target FFS gui in this forum?

Yes, use the "full editor & preview" button to attach images.
That message indicates you are syncing H:\drb_apps with H:\drb_apps\RecycleBin~9f03.ffs_tmp, which obviously doesn't make sense...

What language are you using for Windows? I wonder if there is a special character

I live in Florida so not surprising that I use English, though I do use special characters like this: ("←") =ALT+27
in my files.
I would have thought that all I had to do was give FFS the same permission that I have to manually delete a file, but I'm unsure how to do that.
Is there a way I can cut and paste a screenshot of my source/target FFS gui in this forum, to show you what I am requesting FFS to do which is causing this error message? Is this error message really so unusual for FFS users?

You don't have to do anything to 'give' FFS permissions. This is a really weird error.
What are the actual paths of the items you are syncing, left and right?

Are the 2 Google drive links I just uploaded of any help?
One of the screenshots shows all 5 errors from a run I just made and the other screenshot shows the source ("C:\") and target ("H:\)" drives I am using.

Yes I see them, posted below for others to see:
Without Zenju chiming in, there is no guarantee, but I would replace those special characters/emojis and see what happens. The pdf in the middle still doesn't make sense to me, did you delete that pdf from the source? And it isn't able to delete it on the right?

The "pdf in the middle" (...yaakov_bookletarpeggios.pdf") was in the (H:\) target directory because it correctly got copied from the same-named directory in the source (C:\). I later moved this pdf (from the source) elsewhere and expected the next run of FFS to do likewise (in the target). However, it appears that FFS was not authorized to delete it from the target directory as I had manually deleted it from the same-named (C:\) source directory. So to make C: and H: mirror images, I had to manually delete this file from H:.
