Hello dear filesync community,
I have a request for a very simple function: Sync by Filename - ideally only the name of the file and the extension can be selected separately.
Why this function?
I use Filesync to back up my pictures, since I'm a photographer and work in different places it helps me enormously to keep my mobile and stationary workstations up to date.
Now I work with an online gallery to deliver my orders but also to enable the image selection (PicDrop.com) - even if this platform supports RAW formats, the upload would be immensely longer and my memory would fill up very quickly, so I load the images as a JPG, let the customers make their selection and then match the names of the files manually. It would be immensely easier for the work if you then only downloaded the desired JPGs again and then simply compared them to the RAW images using the name using Filesync - I could well imagine that this function could be of value to some - including me would certainly make 30€ easy for it - or more!
ps: if someone knows another solution for my request i'd also be glad to hear about it ;-)

So, you expect FFS to compare your jpg-files with your RAW files.
Even for identically named files (the part before the jpg or raw extension ...) such compare will always fail, as the files will have different size and contents.
And as you likely generate your jpg's from your raw files, even the timestamp will likely be different.
