Is there a way to set the compare to ignore file extensions?

Nope.
FFS only compares identically named files (incl. extension) and in identical file locations relative to the left and right base location.

Thats unfortunate. Seems like it would be easy to add an option to simply ignore the file extension.

I'm assuming you are still early in life so I'll expand on how these things work...I thought you said it would be easy? xCSxXenon, 04 Apr 2022, 14:40
Yes, it is easy for someone who is a good coder and does it frequently - using the tools that are being used currently. (I have not coded or used current IDEs in 20ish yrs)
... Just like what I do for a living is easy for me with my 20+ years of experience and doing it every day. But its not easy for others who did it 20 years ago but not since.
