feature request - ability to add multiple wilcards to filters

It would be awesome if the ability to use wilcards such as *-thingtosearch*.* could be implemented. Where i want to match the middle of a file name within all folders.

ah - sorry - i made a mistake on the example. What i actually need is "something*somethingelse*.*". So a match at the start AND in the middle. my original post of *-thingtosearch*.* works just fine.
