Hello,

I recognized that more and more apps are available in the Microsoft Store (on my PC there are 20 apps available, what is a lot).
This also applies for popular apps and "system integrated" apps like Virus Scanners.
Here some examples:
• Keeper
• Spotify
• Mozilla Firefox
• Discord
• Skype
• Norton 360
• CCleaner
• Epic Games Store
• Visual Studio Code

It would be cool to see also FreeFileSync in the Microsoft Store.
Here I see the following advantages:
wider visibility for FreeFileSync (more users)
• it is very easy to download and install apps
• the apps are automatically updated
• the apps are linked with my Microsoft account, so I can easily install them on a second system too
• users can install all apps with one click (planned feature and called Restore Apps), see https://blogs.windows.com/windowsdeveloper/2022/05/24/microsoft-store-grows-with-the-developer-community/

I am a donor user for many years and I would love to see FreeFileSync in the Microsoft Store.

Any feedback for this idea?

I believe FFS should remain independent from 3rd party platforms with their arbitrary rules and regulations. Unless they are paying for the privilege of adding to their content. This is also why FFS will probably never be on the Apple App Store.

Understood.
Meantime I saw, that 60% of my apps, that are offered in the Microsoft Store, are the "normal" Win32/Win64 apps (that will not be updated via the Microsoft Store).
Only 40% are "real" Microsoft Store Apps.
So this is very sad!

@Zenju Hi. Please reconsider your decision. You can keep a decent price for the Microsoft Store version like WinSCP. I'll be happy to pay there. Thank you!
