Hi all.
Sorry if this has already been asked/answered, but I couldn't find it.
Is there a way to use FreeFileSync to just check that all files are present within the chosen hierarchy WITHOUT FreeFileSync taking folders into account?
I have many cases where I must ingest many files from other peoples drives, then sort them into my own folder structure, but I currently don't have a way to double check that all the files are present once I rearrange their structure.
Does FreeFileSync offer a report option that ONLY checks files and ignores all folders and subfolders?
I have used another software called FileListCreator that does list files in a destination with the option to ignore folders/subfolders, but this doesn't allow me to compare two locations.
I have to create a report of each location, then use a separate list comparison application to actually see if these lists contain the same items.
This means I'm using FreeFileSync, FileListCreator, and a 3rd app every time I bring in files. The workflow here is less than ideal.
It seems like this is something FreeFileSync should/could do on its own.
Many times I'm moving hundreds or thousands of files at once, so manually checking that they're all present is unrealistic.
Thanks in advance for your time!
