Can't install FreeFileSyn 11.22 Donation edition

Hello,
Windows 11 64 bits brand new computer here.
I cannot install FFS 11.22 donation edition : installation wizard freezes at the end of the process.
When running FFS, it shows that some files are corrupt : cannot open Install.dat.
I've been using FFS for years, no issues.
Can you help me ?

For the record, after process interruption int the task manager and erasing FFS folder :
- 3rd attempt, after 10 minutes freeze : lead to installation of FFS free edition
- 4th attempt, after 10+ minutes freeze : lead to installation of Donation edition.
Seems the installation program had some hard time finding the license key.

You downloaded the most recent copy before trying? If so, then there is something else happening. If it's brand new, it likely has some third-party AntiVirus on it like McAfee. Remove any of those, they are all useless for a home user. They could be blocking that file causing it to lock up

I uninstalled McAfee, which was easier said than done : this thing is really embedded deep in the computer, and it took me an awful time :-((
And FFS installation went swift and flawless ...

Pretty common! They offer a removal tool called "MCPR" under method 2 here:

Sound advice.
Note that I had to use MCPR and restart three times in a row to obtain a successful removal.
