Hi there,

Thank you firstly for the product, it has absolutely solved a Massive headache for me.

Is there however a way to sync already de-duped files, but only sync the de-duped entity?

I have a 15TB data store that holds quite a lot of duplicated data that i de-dupe in server 2019, i use the software to sync that data store to an external NAS. The problem i face is my reported size on disk is only 9TB (+/- 6TB of data is duplicated) but FreeFileSync wants to sync the full 15TB. Is there a configuration option i am not aware of to only sync de-duped files? Or is this a feature that can be added?

De-dupe is a feature of the file-system and there is no way that I am aware of to do what you are thinking. The de-dupe works by having a "reference table" of binary data so similar files can contain 'pointers' to these entries to save space, versus storing the same data multiple times. Without that reference section, you can't do this, and obviously your external NAS has no way to access those chunks
