Hi.
In Windows I've got a network drive mapped and it appears as a drive when Windows starts up.
I'm trying to use that as a target location in FreeFileSync but when I do I get the message "Waiting until all directories are available" however the drive is available, I can access and use it.
Is there anyway to allow this to work ?
Thanks

Thanks for the reply.
I think that is a different issue, but clicking ignore errors may help.
I'll take a look. Thanks

I know there is a bug in Windows that fails to show mapped drives as accessible. I ended up using a script to automatically 'ping' them to show up as normal. Method (4) from here:

Hi,
I've got ignore errors ticked but it is still stalling on startup waiting for the local drive and mapped drive.
If I manually run the batch manually it works, it's only when it's started by windows.
Anyone any ideas ?
Thanks

How did you set it up so it auto-starts? In the user startup folder, windows startup folder, scheduled task, registry?I know there is a bug in Windows that fails to show mapped drives as accessible. I ended up using a script to automatically 'ping' them to show up as normal. Method (4) from here:

I've got the '_real' link in the Windows Start-up folder.
The drive it's warning on is an internal hard disk, so there should be no issues accessing it.
Would a scheduled task work better ?
Thanks

Very odd that it's having an issue with the internal drive. Is there anything you can do that gets it to work once you are in Windows?

If I manually start real time sync it works fine.
I've set a scheduled task to run when I log in and will see if that starts it correctly.
Thanks

The scheduled task runs when I log in and then closes, I've realised I've set this up to do a sync not realtime sync.
When I set it up to do a realtime sync, I get the same issue "Waiting until all directories are available" with a specific mention to one internal drive.. which is available !

So odd...
Are you running the scheduled task with "highest privileges"?
If yes, turn it off.
If no, turn it on.
