Ever since Installing 11.28, the comparison between folders on the server network and folders on my thumbdrive are taking so long. Eventually the program times out. Any suggestions?
Thank you,

Start trial-and-error testing. Try to single out if it is the server, the network, the flash drive, the port you're using, etc

xCSxXenon,
I did some trial-and-error testing over the weekend, but can't find the cause. I have been using FFS for about 3 years, and do the exact same routine every day -- updating the changed documents from the server folder to the equivalent folder on the flash drive. The problem first surfaced when I installed 11.28. Should I uninstall and install fresh again?

Explain "Eventually the program times out." ?
When it does this, can you reach your thumb drive by other means, or are transfers by those means also slow?
What is this particular USB Flash drive?
(I've gotten a couple, now, Trend, el cheapos - that are utter trash [literally].)

Try manually copying
Try copying to a different location from the same source
Try copying from a different source to the same destination
Try local transfers vs network

I want to thank therube and xCSxXenon.
Based on attempts to copy from the Win10 laptop to the USB Flash Drive, I discovered the flash drive was not accepting any files copied to it.
Replaced the USB Flash Drive with a much more robust one from Samsung, and Version 11.28 is working without a problem.

Glad it's fixed, and it was something simple!
