Linux Mint: How to activate donation, install per linux mint packagemanager

Hi to all,
I looked around, but I don't found a solution for the problem...

I installed freefilesync via the packagemanager ("appmanager") on linux mint.

How can I do to activate the donation version?
Is there a directory where I can put the .key file in, so that it work?

My english is not the best, I hope you'll understand what I mean...

I installed it with the .run file from the donate download. It works, but now I have two freefilesync. One from the packagemanager and the new installed donation version...

It works, so I am happy.
