FFS macOS ver 11.28 ARM 64 11/16/2022
iMac 24in M1 2021 Ventura 13.0.1
SanDisk Cruzer Fit 32GB flash drive
I formatted the flash drive on a Windows 10 laptop as FAT32 (for maximum compatibility).
Ran FFS on the iMac to copy user files, but all of the copied files had their date of last mod set to the current date & time. No good!
I tried manually copying a file to the flash drive using Finder, and the date of last mod was preserved. (So it isn't some inherent Mac system problem with FAT32 drives.)
I reformatted the flash drive on the Mac as exFAT, re-ran the FFS job, and the dates on the flash drive came out correct--same as on the Mac's drive. Yay!
But I do wish I could use FAT32, because I may need to restore the backup onto an older Mac if this new machine dies.
(This dates problem may be what's behind this report as well: viewtopic.php?t=9806)

(Dated, & I know nothing Mac, but /seemingly/ date modified /should/ be maintained.)
