Dear all.
I have the following problems form months.
I make a backup of some files to an external drive in Linux Mint.
When the scan is finished, it is impossible to apply the synchronization: no file is copied copy and I have error messages of the type
'Error Cannot write file ... EROFS: Read-only file system [open]'
To solve this problem, I eject the external drive, I reconnect it, then without re-scanning, I do the synchronization.
Has anyone had the same problem?

(One post mentioned doing a fsck on the drive, but I'm not familiar so I'd wait till other chime in.)

Is your distro up to date? This sounds more like Linux doing something funky than anything else

I don't have the last version of Linux (Linux Mint 20.3 Cinnamon), but my system is uptodate.

The problem is that the drive is read-only after scan and there is no option in 'Freefilesync' to change the permission of the drive after the scan. I do not have the same problem in Mac OSx.

FFS isn't the cause of it. FFS doesn't have that ability. It may be triggering something else though
