Hi everyone.

I don't know what i missed but i am simply unable to connect to my Ds720+ with dsm 7.1.1-42962.
I'm not super experienced with FTP and stuff like that.

Im trying to do a simple mirror job from my PC to a shared folder in my NAS.

I entered my quick connect adress in "server name or IP adress" (is this the right thing i should write?)
Then used my quick connect ID and password.

Aslo tried the IP but im not exactly sure what is the right IP.

I get an error when i click "browse" to see my shared folders:
Cannot determine final path for "ftp://UrbanDownfall@QuickConnect.to/UrbanDownfall/~".

CURLE_OPERATION_TIMEDOUT: Failed to connect to QuickConnect.to port 21 after 11281 ms: Couldn't connect to server [curl_easy_perform]
Is there a port i need to open or something i need to do elsewhere?!

Does the 2 step verification could block it?

Thanks so much in advance.

First off, do you need to use ftp: ?
On my end, I simply use something like: \\NAS\back\My Documents.

Outside of FFS, can you ftp:// to your NAS?
(You can do that with your browser - if your browser still support ftp. [Firefox does not. SeaMonkey does.])

"~" (I believe) typically is your "home directory" (oh, I really don't know, but) maybe something like /home/UD/, & maybe "~" isn't being resolved, so maybe you might need to literally enter your "home directory" (or wherever it is you're trying to reach)?

So maybe something like, "ftp://UrbanDownfall@QuickConnect.to/UrbanDownfall/home/UD"
