I cannot install the 11.29 Donation Edition on Mac OS Ventura 13.1.
When I try, during the installation a pop up appears and I accept it but the installer get me an error saying:
"Error while installing".
I have tried to install previous versions too without no success.
I have wrote and email to zenju [at] freefilesync.org but I had not go any solution yet.
Thanks in advance!

Maybe there is some popup dialog or something else that could give a clue?

Someone found the solution for this, just drag the installer pkg from the downloads folder to the desktop.

I believe there was a popup dialog asking "Do you want to grant FreeFileSync access to the Downloads folder", that you declined?

No, there wasn't any popup asking about that

Perhaps the "Installer Log" is showing some relevant info? See:

Got a log via email:
https://forum.scalerplugin.com/t/cannot-install-2-7-0-update-on-macos-ventura/11989/13
...suggesting to "move the installer to the desktop".
Sounds familiar.
Apparently Ventura is yet another macOS update that's messing with security settings.
Why? Does it need extra entitlements?
Google leads to this:NSUnderlyingError = "Error Domain=PKXARArchiveErrorDomain Code=101 \"archive open failed\"

Error caused by Dropbox app!??

Effing Dropbox. Move the pkg file out of anything that is part of Dropbox (which, unless you changed things, includes Downloads, Documents, and Desktop). I moved mine to iCloud Drive and viola everything worked fine.

running a clean installed ventura with the latest Dropbox app installed. I downloaded the package from portal.office.com and saved into my dropbox. i wasnt able to install from dropbox, but if i copy the installer into desktop of my mac, then everything worked - it seems to be a problem with where the installer package is located. hope this helps.
