I would also vote for an option to move data from A to B (i.e. 1. copy data to B, then delete source files from A).
In my syncronisation with the suggested workaround I do get a warning message in the log-file because I sync FROM A in the first folder-pair and then TO A in the second folder pair ...

Re: Linux Gnome-Schedule - FFS batchfile needs to be executable
yes, I guess "no output" means suppressing the FFS window, but I don't know for sure either.

Re: Linux Gnome-Schedule - FFS batchfile needs to be executable
sorry for the late reply.
I don't know what went wrong, but you're right - it doesn't make sense and it was not causing my problems.
I know found the real problem. In the current version (2.1.1) of Gnome-Schedule one can not only select "no output", but also x-window. For me the "no output" option ...

Linux Gnome-Schedule - FFS batchfile needs to be executable
I had some difficulties scheduling a job on Linux Ubuntu. I used the instructions below, but the job just didn't wanted to start automatically until I found out that one needs to make the FFS-batch file executable. IMO for Linux beginners it would help if that would be mentioned briefly in the FFS ...

[feature request] "configuration" column in the Overview section
Hi, I have a lot of configurations that I run at once and I would find it nice if there was a seperate column for configurations in the overview section of the UI. So that I know which line belongs to which configuration after I've ran "compare". At the moment there are columns for percentage, name ...

Re: how to delay a Windows scheduled FFS batch job?
Thanks. I´ve found out it was a config problem of the Win scheduler. In a desparate attempt to solve the problem I´ve changed an option in the general tab in the Win Scheduler to "Run wheter user is logged on or not" . This will supress the FFS progress Window and run only in the background.
So FFS ...

how to delay a Windows scheduled FFS batch job?
The schedule of my FFS batch job on Win 8 does not start properly in the Win 8 scheduled tasks. It starts but no data transfer happening and it hangs in the task list forever with the status "starting". The script is working fine when I execute it manually and I´ve also set up the FFS script to ...

Re: Hint for the Scheduling feature
since I´m not a developer I don´t know if I would have a good answer to your questions. I guess you´d have to decide what too much and what is just right.
Maybe you can leave aside the button story and put a menu item in "advanced"?
There are only 3 entries there.
The other suggestion was to extend ...

Re: Hint for the Scheduling feature
Zenju, I think the design idea is good except that the symbol for the batch job in the GUI is not really meaningful to me. Also I´d assume that the term "batch-job" is something that a few rather non-technical users would have problems to interpret.

Re: Hint for the Scheduling feature
well, do you really think that the majority of the users read the whole manual before using the product?
In my experience often the manual is only read when something is not working or one wants to know how a specific feature works.
Now I know how to schedule a sync job, thanks. I just wanted to help ...
