Mounty lets Mac read and write to NTFS. I have not yet used it but my son-in-law uses it to connect to a NTFS formatted HDD which he uses to share between Mac and Windows. The Windows computer is about 6 years old and the HDD is more recent. The data is not encrypted. It is readable on the Mac.

Sync from APFS to NTFS on a Mac mini
I am moving from a Windows desktop to a Mac mini M1. I will have one external SSD formatted as APFS and the other HDD with NTFS. I will use Mounty for NTFS to support the HDD. Will I be able to use FreeFileSync to sync the data on the 2 drives? I want to avoid exFAT as I am concerned about data ...
