It would be nice when Synchronize is set to Update to have an optional dedicated Compare in Update mode in order to NOT scan the folders tree on Target for folders that are not on Source .

Definitely a good idea, it could be a subtitle below each profile name in the "Configuration" view.
At least a "last Compare date", possibly also "last Sync date".
