just for the record, for now you can use FreeFileSync 9.0 Ubuntu 17.04 which runs great in Debian/stretch.

you mean there is no plan for now ?
this issue in Debian is related to the fact of usrmerge {bin,sbin,lib}. It requires the newer libpng version.

Do you guys have any plans to upgrade the libpng dependency to newer version like 1.6 ?
I am trying to run the newer version of FreeFileSync 8.8 and it requires the libpng12 version :(
