Gianni1962 - no to both. I've closed, opened, upgraded FFS with no luck. I have mutliple jobs setup (one for each directory I backup from the NAS) and it impacts all of them.
I appreciate the ideas though.

I have a NAS which I’m backing up to external hard drives. The backup drives are in a hot-plug bay in my desktop PC. I always make the backup target drive the same drive letter.
