Not necessary to click "Compare" before "Synchronize"?

Did I stumble on something, or did I just catch up with everyone else?
For as long as I have been using FFS, I always do Compare, then Synchronize. Today my fat finger hit Synchronize first and FFS "automatically" did the compare, then it Synchronized.

Re: Error message with new sync setup

Thank you my friends for that advice. I am the only one using this PC so clicking "Ignore" should = no risk. After I am satisfied that clicking "Ignore" works, maybe I will try Plerry's suggestion.

Error message with new sync setup

Until now I was successfully syncing my data files from C:\Users\Bob\Documents to D:\Bob's Databackup Using FreeFileSync Last night I added a new line to backup my CCleaner.ini file and I get an error as shown in the attachment. What am I doing wrong? Thanks

synchronizing WITHOUT comparing

I have a TrueCrypt container that I would like to backup after it is dismounted. The problem I see is that when it is dismounted, the file time and size remain unchanged. Is there a way to use FFS to mirror this type of file?
