Is the .exe installer that is downloadable here https://freefilesync.org/download.php also 100% portable?
With that I mean nothing written outside of install folder (registry, ....)

I haven't updated for a long time now and I forgot where I got the portable version I am using now.

Could it be possible to

- run something before the "Compare" and/or "Synchronise" button is pressed
- run something after the "Compare" and/or "Synchronise" button is pressed

With the option to pass tokens/parameters to the application/script that is run.

With 'run something' I mean: .bat or ...

When I am in code edit mode in my program 'Quick Macros' and I run a simple command to start freefilesync.exe then it works (6.5 beta).
This was not the case in the 6.4 version, there I got the error:
Cannot open file "GlobalSettings.xml".

But I still get the error when I compile the command ...
