Re: Syncing between multiple computers
FFS is not designed for this kind of tasks, use Syncthing or Resilio Sync to synchronize your computers. All you need is for the computers to be switched on and connected together for what you want to be done without intervention, on any number of computers and even across the internet. On the other ...

Re: Date problem when syncing on an android phone
Thanks for the reply, it does indeed copy the modified files and set 'do nothing' for the others. It only copies the most recent files, that's the right trick for this case.
By the way I've only just thought of it, I've tested with a direct copy and the modification dates are also updated at the ...

Date problem when syncing on an android phone
Hello
I'm having a date problem when syncing on an android phone.
When ffs sends a file to the phone, everything seems to be fine, if I resync nothing appears in the list.
If I disconnect the phone and reconnect it, then everything I sent appears in the sync list again, because each of the dates ...

Re: Fluctuating performance
It depends on the number of files.
USB Flash Drives have two types of memory: a little bit fast at the beginning for FAT and a slow one for data which produces a lot of latency and retrying to write. When you have too many files, the FAT ends up writing to the slow memory.

Re: Reading speed
Thanks, that's clearer for me.
So Everything is based only on reading, not writing, and fine precision is not critical and neither are rights. This clearly explains why Microsoft does not use such an expedient.

Reading speed
Zenju, you wrote to warn you if we encountered a faster synchronization than yours. That's not exactly the case, since it's not synchronization, but something gave me to think about.
In fact I find your comparison speeds amazing, but when I saw the reading speed of Everything software I didn't ...

Re: Which Cloud storage including SFTP option do you advise ?
You should consider using peer-to-peer synchronization software like ResilioSync (proprietary) or Syncthing (open source).

Multiple machine / single environment / no third parties cloud
Hello (this text is translated from French)
For my backup strategy, I use Resilio Sync in duet with FFS. It is very effective, I propose it here for those who meet the concern of the cloud.
