I have two suggestions:
1. While FFS is running, the display shows n.nn MB/sec and n.nn items/sec. With the latter, if you are syncing large files, you can get very small numbers, even 0.00 items /sec. It may be helpful if the inverse was also shown (secs/item). That would be more meaningful. And ...

I forgot to add: I am still on v9.1, so this may have been fixed since. I thought you may be interested in this anomaly. It probably won't happen again.

Corrupt progress display
I have been using FreeFileSinc since v5.21 (Sept 2013), and saw something very strange for the first time ever: the display started flashing, and updated incorrectly. I allowed the process to finish, then took screenshots.
