Maybe related?

Free edition has no throttling
This doesn't seem related. I don't have an issue with synchronization stopping completely.
I did some further testing and synchronization between external hard drives is fine. The issue seems to be ...

Why is file transfer suddenly very slow (under 2 mb/sec)?
Hi.
I'm using FreeFileSync to back up the stuff on my phone to an external hard drive.
When doing so the transfer rate was extremely slow - 2 mb/sec max. Often slower, as slow as 0.5 mb/sec at times.
Both my phone and the external hard drive are connected to my laptop using USB.

Looking for a tutorial on how to backup phone on laptop via wifi
Hi.
I'm looking for a way to automatically sync/backup certain folders on my phone with an external hard drive that is hooked up to my laptop. Ideally, I'd like this to occur over my home wifi assuming they are both connected to the same wifi network.
Is this possible to do with FreeFileSync?

Re: Changing name of large folder causes headache when backing up
@Plerry, thanks! That's exactly what I was looking for.
@xCxXenon, yeah I'm aware, but I'm afraid it'll get too messy if my backup doesn't mirror my source. If something were to happen to my source drive and all I'd have is my backup, I wouldn't know what's what. Sometimes I purposely delete files ...

Changing name of large folder causes headache when backing up
Hi.
I use FFS for backing up folders and drives.
There's something that I encounter often which gives me a headache, and I'm wondering if there's a simple way to avoid it.
I'm a bit of stickler and I usually want to go over any changes when backing up, especially if it has to do with deleting files ...

Unable to sync two files
Hi.
I was using FreeFileSync (v10.12) on Windows 10 to backup my video projects hard drive.
The source drive and the backup drive are both external USB 4TB hard drives (each about half full).
After a backup they should mirror each other.
In FFS I compared 3 of the 4 main folders respectively, and ...

Re: Can you check if files on drive A do not exist anywhere on drive B?
Thanks Radish, I'll try it!
Just want to mention that, although this thread ended up with me going to try a different software for this particular task, I'm using FFS a whole lot and it's awesome software!
I've donated to the project a couple of times already to keep it well maintained, free and ...

Thanks for your informative reply Radish!
Yeah, I didn't think of the option that Windows could be the problem.
Come to think of it, I didn't even think of ruling out the USB cable, or the port in the USB hub I'm using. I'm using an independently powered (5V 2A) USB (USB 3.0) hub.

Does FreeFileSync act up with some drives, or is my hard drive dying?
Hi.
I have a 2TB WD Elements portable hard drive.
I've had it for about two years. Used very lightly.
Whenever I try to use FreeFIleSync to sync files on this drive, the program hangs and my whole system kind of freezes. I basically have to force quit my pc.
I'm on Windows 10.

Can you check if files on drive A do not exist anywhere on drive B?
I'm trying to finally organize my hard drives.
To consolidate data and archive it in a more organized way, otherwise I fear that one day I'll lose something important, never to be found again : /
