I'd really like to have this be a built-in feature of FFS, as I'd like to be able to recommend that feature to friends/family who are less tech-savvy, and could really use it myself for a sync I'm using now.

Yes, it does, and it works, but it never clears, even if I remove the files in that folder.

After a sync which has the warning of significant differences between the comparison folders, and completes with the status of "Completed with warnings", a subsequent sync will retain the yellow warning symbol in the session status list, even if 100% successful with no warnings.
